Both Azerbaijan and Ukraine are developing their military-industrial complexes, and there are excellent opportunities for joint production, including broader industrial cooperation,” Aliyev said.
He stressed that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine is based on a strong political foundation.
“Azerbaijan and Ukraine mutually support, and will continue to support, each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in all international organizations,” the Azerbaijani leader said.
On April 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit and met with President Ilham Aliyev.
Zelenskyy said Kyiv and Baku signed six agreements across various sectors, with defense and energy among the priorities.
He also said Kyiv is ready to hold talks with representatives of Russia in Azerbaijan.
