Belgium and Spain will each provide EUR1 billion ($1.18
billion) in military aid to Ukraine in 2026, Ukrainian Defense Minister
Mykhailo Fedorov said on April 13, saying the funds will go toward air-defense
systems, drones, F‑16
jets, and artillery shells.
Fedorov made the announcement after talks with Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles ahead of an upcoming Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.

Fedorov thanked Belgium and Spain for their “consistent
support,” saying that cooperation with partners helps Ukraine hold back enemy
advances, liberate territory, defend its airspace, improve interception of
missiles and drones, and increase pressure on Russia’s economy.
