Explosions reported in Belgorod, authorities warn of blaze and allege casualties - photos

Multiple explosions have been heard in the Russian city of Belgorod, following the announcement of an air raid in that city, Russian state-owned propaganda agency TASS reported on Aug. 1.

Local Telegram channels are sharing photos and videos of the alleged blasts.

According to Belgorod Oblast governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, Russian air defense forces were able to intercept a number of targets, and alleges that eight people have been wounded, including two children. In addition, the Russian official claims that a car, an apartment balcony, and some dried grass have all been damaged by the explosions.

Pro-Russian Telegram Baza claims that twelve people have been injured thus far.

Meanwhile, Telegram channel Zhest Belgorod has published photos of smoke rising from various parts of the city "after loud explosions."

Later, that channel shared photos of burning cars.

The same channel shared a video of a blaze allegedly at the Belgorod botanical gardens, and claimed that an explosive object hit Belinsky Street in that city.

The channel also shared an uncensored comment from a man talking about the burned vehicle.
