Law enforcement authorities have exposed an illegal border crossing scheme in Odesa,
involving conscripts using fake disability certificates, Ukraine’s State Border
Guard Service reported.
A 50-year-old resident of Odesa was producing fake certificates for money.
Investigators also found that she had an accomplice who helped her find new "clients."
The woman charged $11,000 for her services. The upfront fee was $700, with $5,800 being paid upon receipt of the documents, and another $4,500 paid on arrival in Moldova.
The suspect was caught red-handed while receiving a second payment and promptly detained.
