Russian strike on Odesa port kills four foreign sailors

Four Syrian citizens were killed and two others, a Ukrainian and a Syrian, were injured in a Russian ballistic missile strike on the port of Odesa late on March 11, regional Governor Oleh Kiper reported on Telegram the following morning, posting a photo of the damaged Barbados-flagged cargo ship MJ PINA.

The youngest victim was 18, the oldest 24. 

The civilian ship was loading wheat for export to Algeria at the time of the strike. Another ship, berths, and grain storage facilities were also damaged.

Earlier on the same day, a Russian drone attack on Odesa set fire to fuel storage tanks, a private residence and a warehouse of children's toys.

Over 100 emergency responders, including volunteers, National Guard troops, and local firefighting brigades, were deployed to contain the fires. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
