The ceasefire agreement may actually being reached as quickly as the White House, in particular U.S. President Donald Trump, claims, political analyst and head of the think tank Center for Analysis and Strategies Ihor Chalenko told Radio NV on March 20.

It will not happen quickly, it is obvious. But the fact that we do have a bird in our hand is true.

Because there is a political agreement on a ceasefire on energy and other infrastructure. Although today the classification of what constitutes "other infrastructure" may differ, Ukraine will prepare a clear list.

As President [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy said after the conversation, he has a perception of "civilian infrastructure" as a comprehensive concept. Therefore, it is clear that the list of objects will be very, very long.

Obviously, it will be presented during the talks in Saudi Arabia on March 23. As far as I understand, the Americans will be working simultaneously on two tracks, so there will be a separate meeting with the Russians, and obviously our delegation will be there somewhere.

Therefore, under the current circumstances, this is indeed a small but positive result of the negotiations and consultations as of this moment.

If the situation does demonstrate the effectiveness of the weekend's negotiations, then next week it is quite possible that a partial ceasefire will be introduced, which will cover energy and other infrastructure.

Although, as we know, the Russians have repeatedly violated such regimes. Even under Zelenskyy, immediately after Paris, in December 2019, when a ceasefire was established. There are even graphs that are now very actively circulating on Facebook and other social media showing how many times the Russian side violated them every day.

Nevertheless, we understand that the issue of control should be on the United States of America. And, of course, not only control, but also the consequences directly for the violators of the ceasefire.
