The most expensive lot was a pair of boxing gloves signed by Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, which sold for 6,500 euros. The proceeds will be used to purchase a pickup truck for Ukrainian troops.
A total of 19,000 euros was raised to support Ukrainian troops during the evening. Over four and a half years of the Reception, charitable donations have reached 109,000 euros.
The event brought together Ukrainian developers, partners and representatives of the international game development industry.
The event was organized by Burny Games, co-owned by Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa.
"For me, 100,000 euros is a very special milestone. When we held the first Reception in 2022, we certainly did not think that these gatherings would help raise such an amount within a few years. But what matters most is not even the figure, but the fact that the international game development community continues to support Ukraine. People come, donate and participate in the auction, and thanks to this, we can meet specific needs of those who need help right now," said Olena Lobova, organizer of the Games from Ukraine Reception and head of partnerships at Burny Games.
This year's gathering was the third organized by Burny Games. During that time, the Games from Ukraine Reception has developed into a platform for Ukrainian developers to connect with international colleagues, while its charitable component has helped raise funds for specific needs in Ukraine.
Burny Games was founded in 2022 and develops mobile puzzle games and operates its own publishing business. Its games have been downloaded more than 65 million times.
