Russian forces have struck an infrastructure facility in Chernihiv
Oblast and specialists at the scene are establishing the extent of the
damage, Chernihiv Oblast governor Viacheslav Chaus reported on Telegram
on Sept. 12.
Attacks on Chernihiv Oblast, which borders both Belarus and Russia, have intensified in recent days, with 29 attacks reported over the previous day. Ninety reports of explosions have been confirmed, Chaus said.
"The shelling [attacks] are increasing, just like the arsenal the Russians use to kill," the governor noted.
"Do not ignore air raid sirens."
The Air Force reports the Russian strikes against Chernihiv Oblast on Sept. 12 were carried out with a pair of Iskander ballistic missiles, launched from the Russian Kursk Oblast, as well as a single Kh-59/69 cruise missile, launched from Russia's Bryansk Oblast.
