At least six people, including a five-year-old boy, were injured in a series of Russian strikes on residential areas of the administrative center of Sumy and the town of Putyvl late on July 21, regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported on Telegram shortly after midnight.
In Sumy's Kovpakivka district, Russian forces targeted a densely populated residential area. Five high-rise apartment buildings, a shopping center, and 18 cars were damaged.
A 60-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were hospitalized. Another 12 people received medical and psychological assistance at the scene.
Earlier that evening, Russian drones attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Putyvl community, injuring four people, including a child. A fire broke out.
That same night, Russian forces carried out another drone attack on the city of Odesa, injuring at least one person.
