In a Telegram post, CyberBoroshno said the strike hit grain storage and transport infrastructure at the NKHP grain and fuel terminal, the Sheskharis oil-export terminal, and multiple facilities at the Russian naval base. Analysts described the operation as one of the most successful against a heavily defended Russian city.
NKHP is one of three main grain terminals in Novorossiysk
and, analysts estimate, handles about 12 percent of Russia’s grain exports.
Satellite images showed the other two large terminals, NZT and KSK, appeared
undamaged. Together, the three terminals account for about 40 percent of
Russian grain exports, and roughly 80 percent of such exports pass through the
Azov-Black Sea basin, CyberBoroshno said.
At the naval base, analysts reported likely damage to several vessels, including the frigates Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen. Both ships were observed with damage near the launchers for Kalibr cruise missiles. Each frigate carries eight launch cells. Other vessels reported possibly hit include a Project 266M minesweeper, the research vessel Viktor Cherokov (Project 20360 OS), a Project 22160 patrol ship, the intelligence ship Priazovya (Project 864), and an unidentified dry-cargo vessel. Several strikes were also recorded on the onshore infrastructure of the 4th Submarine Brigade.
The Sheskharis oil-export terminal sustained damage to its
main berths, including berth No. 1, which is used by large Aframax and Suezmax
tankers. Satellite images showed burn marks, extensive firefighting foam, and
oil slicks. CyberBoroshno said an Aframax tanker that was loading at the
terminal may have been hit.
