Debris from Shahed drones falls in Kyiv Oblast: Fires and property damage reported

Debris from shot-down Shahed drones launched by Russia fell in a district of Kyiv Oblast, damaging three private homes, Kyiv regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko reported the incident.

The attack resulted in broken windows, damaged doors, and roof destruction.

Additionally, fires on grasslands and stubble were observed in two areas outside settlements. These fires were quickly extinguished.

Kravchenko noted that the air alert in the region lasted for more than eight hours. Air defense forces were active, and some targets were hit.

There were no reports of damage to critical or residential infrastructure, and no casualties were reported.

On the night of Sept. 7, an air alert was declared across several Ukrainian regions. Explosions were heard in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv itself. In the Pechersk district of the capital, a fire occurred in an open area.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, all drones threatening the capital were destroyed, and none reached their targets.

The Air Force reported that the Russian army launched 67 Shahed drones at Ukraine, with air defenses shooting down 58 of them.
