Denmark will provide Ukraine with a $142 million military aid package, which will include small arms ammunition, heavy machine guns, anti-tank mines, and air defense missiles, Danish Defense Ministry said in a message on its website on March 15.

Acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen thanked the Danish parliament for the decision to transfer additional aid to help Ukraine repel the Russian invasion.

“Ukraine is short of ammunition, so the donation package contains materials that Ukraine has very specifically requested,” said Poulsen.

“I am proud that we in Denmark can fulfill this wish.”

The package will include the following items:

●         5.56mm ammo cartridges;

●         12.7mm heavy machine guns;

●         anti-tank mines;

●         missiles for air defense systems;

●         bomb disposal equipment;

●         15 military-grade power generators;

●         8,000 helmets and 15,000 sets of waterproof gear;

●         9 mobile repair and maintenance workshops;

●         6 hangar tents.

Copenhagen’s contribution to Ukrainian defense totals at nearly $711 million.

On March 15, the ninth ‘Ramstein format’ meeting was held, where defense ministers of Kyiv’s international partners gather to address Ukraine’s security needs.
