The new reports include:
- discharge for raising three children under 18;
- due to the death or disappearance of a close relative defending Ukraine;
- for tending to a spouse with a disability;
- for tending to a child with a disability;
- for tending to a relative with a disability;
- for health reasons.
Each report can be submitted in minutes, featuring detailed guides and clear instructions on required documents. A step-by-step algorithm with prompts ensures error-free submissions to commanders.
“We’re building an ecosystem where soldiers can swiftly and easily exercise their rights,” said Deputy Defense Minister for Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko.
“Take the health-related discharge report—one of the most common in the army. On paper, it’s a hassle: handwritten forms, gathering documents, making copies. We’ve digitized it into a straightforward, user-friendly process.”
Since launching reports in August 2024, Army+ has processed 330,000 submissions, with 26 report types now available. The most popular are health-related (32%), duty station changes (22%), and annual leave (21%).
Grounds for discharge from military service
- Contract or service term end
Soldiers can leave upon completing their contract or conscription term.
- Age limit
Discharge occurs upon reaching the legal age ceiling, varying by rank and role.
- Health issues
A military medical commission’s finding of unfitness grants discharge.
- Family circumstances
Common reasons include:
- raising a child with a disability under 18 (requires birth certificate, disability proof);
- tending to a sick spouse, child, or parents (needs medical commission conclusion);
- having a spouse or parent with a Group I or II disability;
- guardianship of a court-declared incapacitated person with a disability;
- tending to a Group I disability individual;
- single parenting of a child under 18;
- supporting three or more children under 18 (all needing relevant certificates).
