Russian drone hits apartment building in central Dnipro, injuring 5

A Russian Shahed drone hit a multi-story residential building in the center of Dnipro on the morning of March 26, causing fires on the second and third floors and wounding five civilians, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha reported.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said the attack damaged about seven apartment buildings and a gymnasium, with dozens of windows blown out.

Among the injured are a 90-year-old woman, an 85-year-old woman, a 79-year-old woman, an 86-year-old man, and a 55-year-old man, the regional administration said.

Rescuers extinguished the fire in the four-story building.

Air Force Command had warned of Russian drones heading toward Dnipro around 9:30 a.m. local time, when explosions were heard and air defenses were active in the city.

In the morning, a strike in Kharkiv and damage to an infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih were reported.
