DOT-Chain IT system expands to cover military drone procurement in Ukraine

He explained that there is already a demand, along with a political decision, to bring drone and other equipment procurement into the DOT-Chain system, including UAV systems, electronic warfare (EW/ECM) tools, and ground-based robotic complexes.

DOT is proposing a model where military brigades act as the budget owners, giving them the ability to choose the drones they need based on their specific operational requirements.

“All of these drones will be included in the electronic system with set prices, like a supermarket. The brigade will act like a buyer, selecting the equipment it needs,” Zhumadilov explained.

For manufacturers, this means that their supply will depend on requests from the brigades. According to Zhumadilov, this should encourage competition, not only in pricing but also in service and technical support quality.

If all AFU requests are fulfilled and there is either surplus equipment or extra production capacity, the additional units could be exported. Zhumadilov noted that this would be decided by the Ministry of Defense or another governing body.

Previously, it was reported that DOT launched the DOT-Chain IT system to help digitize military supply processes.
