A video surfaced on social media showing a drone attack on an oil refinery in Sloviansk-na-Kuban. The footage captures the sound of drone engines and explosions, along with visible flames near the oil depot.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense forces purportedly shot down 60 drones over Belgorod Oblast and Krasnodar territory during the night. They also claimed to have destroyed one drone and nine ATACMS missiles over occupied Crimea.
Eduard Trudnev, director of complex security for Sloviansk EKO, reported that the refinery in Sloviansk-na-Kuban suffered multiple drone strikes, leading to its shutdown.
"There were flights. The plant is now shut down. We are assessing the damages, and law enforcement is on site," he stated.
The company has not specified when operations will resume.
Roman Siniagovskyi, head of the Slovyansk district, noted that six drones targeted the refinery overnight, but there were no casualties or significant destruction.
The incident occurred on the night of May 19, with videos emerging on social media showing explosions and a fire near the plant.
