The attack on the Gubkin oil depot in the village of Dolgoe in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast was carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) with the help of drones, NV reported with reference to a source in the Ukraine’s Special Services.

“The object was used by the enemy for military purposes,” NV’s source said.

“The specified targets were hit as a result of a HUR special operation.”

An explosion was reported by Russian mass media in the morning of March 5, after which a fire started at an infrastructure facility.

One of the tanks of the Gubkin oil depot in Belgorod Oblast caught fire following drone attack, Russian media claimed, later adding that three tanks were engulfed in flames.

A photo of a burning oil depot was published by Telegram channel 112.
