Drone strikes spark large-scale fires at logistics center and oil depot in Moscow Oblast

The strikes also targeted an oil depot in the village of Lvovsky on the outskirts of Podolsk, sparking another fire.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel reported another fire blazing at the South Gate industrial park in Domodedovo.

Regional governor Andrey Vorobyov has not commented on the attack. Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that 400 UAVs were flying toward Moscow Oblast from the evening of July 19 to 5:00 a.m. on July 20. Sobyanin claimed that air defenses neutralized most of the UAVs at “distant approaches”, and reported that another 85 drones were shot down as they neared Moscow.

Drone strikes on warehouses belonging to Russian online retailer Wildberries

Drones struck Wildberries warehouses in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, and Elektrostal, Moscow Oblast, sparking large-scale fires. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center confirmed the attack on the 188,000 square meter Wildeberries warehouse. The attack triggered a large-scale blaze, sending out a black plume of smoke that was visible for kilometers. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that drone strikes targeted two Wildberries warehouses in Russia on July 18, noting that it was a response to Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

“[These facilities] were used by the aggressor to supply sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment,” Zelenskyy wrote.

Zelenskyy thanked personnel from the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, Armed Forces, Security Service of Ukraine and Defense Intelligence for carrying out “long-range sanctions” accurately and in coordination.
