New drone attack on Russia: Fires erupt near airbase and missile depot

Explosions occurred in the city of Yeysk (Krasnodar Krai) near the Baltimor naval airbase, from which Russia launches Shahed kamikaze drones against Ukraine, the news outlet Astra reported.
Explosions were also reported in the settlement of Kotluban (Volgograd Oblast), followed by a large fire and detonations. Russian media reported that a major ammunition depot was hit.
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, reported that an arsenal of ammunition belonging to the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense was attacked in Kotluban, Volgograd Oblast. The arsenal stored part of the Iranian ballistic missiles and their launchers.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 125 Ukrainian drones were "destroyed and intercepted" overnight on Sept. 28.
“67 drones were intercepted and destroyed over Volgograd Oblast, 17 over Belgorod Oblast, 17 over Voronezh Oblast, 18 over Rostov Oblast, one each over Bryansk and Kursk oblasts and Krasnodar Krai, and three drones over the Azov Sea,” the Russian department stated.
