Drone strike: Residential building and hotel damaged in Khmelnytskyi Oblast

A residential apartment building was damaged in Khmelnytskyi Oblast during a Russian drone attack on the morning of Oct. 24, regional governor Serhii Tyurin reported.

Rescue workers are clearing the debris, and a fire that broke out was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

Russian Shahed drones also damaged the roof of a hotel and a non-residential building, while the blast wave shattered windows in one of the region’s libraries.

One person sustained minor injuries, Tyurin added.

Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine with drones since the night. According to Ukraine’s Air Force, the occupiers launched about 50 attack drones and four missiles. As of 8:30 a.m., 40 drones had been shot down, with seven lost from radar.
