Drones strike oil pumping station in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast, fire visible for 25 km

Drones struck the Tinguta oil pumping station in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast overnight, with satellite data showing a fire visible up to 25 km away, the monitoring Telegram channel Crimean Wind reported on Apr. 10.
Volgograd Oblast Gov. Andrei Bocharov confirmed a UAV attack, saying a tank containing petroleum products caught fire in the Svitloyarsky district.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defenses “intercepted and destroyed” 151 drones overnight, including 57 over Volgograd Oblast.
According to Militarnyi, the Tinguta pumping station is used to transport diesel fuel via the Volgograd–Tikhoretsk main pipeline.
The facility covers 32 hectares and includes four main storage tanks with a total capacity of 80,000 cubic meters for storing, accounting for and dispatching diesel fuel.
The Volgograd–Tikhoretsk pipeline is one of the key routes for transporting diesel to southern Russia and for export.
