Drones hit Russian military airfield in Yeysk; fire, explosions reported

Drones attacked a military airfield in the city
of Yeysk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight on Aug. 30, sparking a fire.
The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported
the incident, citing NASA FIRMS data.
The fire was detected near a taxiway and storage facilities.

Local residents also reported hearing secondary explosions
after the attack.
Local authorities have not yet commented on the attack.
On Aug. 22, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck fuel and
lubricant storage tanks at the Yeysk oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
The attack sparked a fire.
The Supernova+ Telegram channel also reported that a vessel
caught fire in Yeysk after the attack on the port.
