Drones attack Voronezh, Russia: Administrative building and utility facility damaged

Russian air defense forces shot down more than 15 drones in Voronezh Oblast, local governor Alexander Gusev claimed on Telegram in the early hours of Aug. 11. 

He also stated that there were allegedly no casualties.

As a result of the attack, several private homes, an administrative building, various infrastructure objects, and multiple vehicles were damaged.

Additionally, about 100 residents of Voronezh were left without electricity.

On the same night, explosions were reported in the Russian city of Kursk. The governor of Kursk Oblast, Alexey Smirnov, claimed that a “Ukrainian missile” was shot down and fell on a residential building in the city, causing a fire.

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported that “15 people were rescued, and 30 were evacuated” from the building where the fire occurred.
