Powerful blast and fire as drones strike oil refinery in Russia’s Novokuibyshevsk

A drone strike targeted an oil refinery in Russia’s Samara Oblast, triggering a powerful explosion, according to video published by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

Samara Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Fedorischev later confirmed the attack, saying drones struck an industrial facility in the city of Novokuibyshevsk. He did not specify the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties.

Separately, local media reported explosions in the city of Ryazan, with blasts heard near the Dyagilevo air base. A fire was also reported near a refinery in the area.
