Kyiv regional authorities reveal damage caused by Russia’s overnight attack

The air raid alert in Kyiv Oblast lasted eight hours during the Russian overnight attack on Ukraine, regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko reported on Telegram on Aug. 11.

The Russian military attacked the region with suicide drones and missiles, and air defense systems were actively engaged. No direct hits to residential or critical infrastructure were recorded.

Kravchenko confirmed that two people died as a result of the enemy attack—a father and his four-year-old son. Additionally, three more people were wounded.

The injured were diagnosed with bruises, abrasions of the torso, head, limbs, and fractures. All affected individuals are receiving the necessary medical care.

“In one of the districts of Kyiv Oblast, the bodies of a 35-year-old man and his 4-year-old son were removed from the rubble of a house by the State Emergency Service,” the Kyiv regional police reported.

“There are also victims in the house: a 45-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman, and a 12-year-old boy.”

As of 9 a.m., two houses were destroyed, and six more were damaged as a result of falling shell fragments in two districts of the region. Four cars were also damaged.
