Georgian election observer denies violations as voter snaps ballot photo

The opposition protested the election by withdrawing their mandates and calling for mass rallies, while former President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently in prison, as well as the United States and the European Union called for an investigation into numerous violations.

According to the Georgian Election Commission's website, the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party had 54.24% of the vote with 99% of the ballots counted.

In the midst of these events, a viral video emerged on social media showing an observer from Azerbaijan confidently denying violations, while an unidentified woman behind him was captured taking pictures of her ballot. Such actions are often associated with bribing voters for proof of support for a particular candidate.

However, the keen observer was apparently too busy dismissing concerns to notice the scene unfolding just over his shoulder.
