Russian forces carried out the largest drone and missile attack on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Air Force reported on Telegram on July 9.
The enemy launched 728 attack and imitation drones and fired seven Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles, as well as six Kh-47M2 ballistic missiles.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down 296 drones. Another 415 were suppressed by electronic warfare.
All of the cruise missiles were also intercepted.
The western administrative center of Lutsk was the main target of the overnight Russian attack.
Four sites across the country were hit by enemy missiles. Another 14 sites were damaged by debris from the downed air targets.
The previous largest aerial assault by Russian forces was recorded on July 4, when 550 air targets were fired at Ukraine.
