EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas expressed concern about the strong presence of Russian narratives in messages coming from the United States, the Ukrinform news agency reported on Feb. 24.

She urged the EU to maintain strong communication with the new US administration and stressed the importance of presenting a unified position in negotiations with the White House.

The participation of Ukraine and Europe in the peace talks is essential for any meaningful outcome.

“No agreement can work without it. That is absolutely clear,” she said ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.

"You can discuss whatever you want with Putin, but when it comes to Europe or Ukraine, Ukraine and Europe also have to agree on these things. That's why we have to discuss it, whatever it is."

On the same day, The Times reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron plan to deliver a coordinated message to US President Donald Trump when they meet this week, urging him to abandon bilateral peace talks with Russia.
