On March 2, Russians attacked Odesa with drones. One of the drones hit a high-rise building. At the time of publication, the death toll has risen to ten, including an eight month old baby, a four month old baby and a two year old boy.

On Feb. 29 US House Speaker Mike Johnson said that US aid to Ukraine will be considered after the US budget is passed, once again dragging out timeline for a vote he has stalled for months.

On March 1, Biden signed a law on temporary government funding. To provide additional time to complete and pass full-year funding bills, the stopgap measure extends funding on a short-term basis and sets two deadlines — March 8 and 22.
