Two criminal proceedings have been initiated under Ukraine's Criminal Code: intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 115) and illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives (Part 1 of Article 263).

Earlier updates showed that the second victim of the Yunist market explosion died in the hospital.

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMDA) confirmed two incidents in Kyiv: one in the Desnianskyi district, where the explosion occurred at a kiosk at the Yunist market, and another in the Dniprovskyi district, where a man was injured after heating an object that appeared to be a cartridge case.

KMDA clarified that a gas cylinder had exploded at the Yunist market, leading to one hospitalization.

Authorities assured that all necessary services were at the scene.

Police confirmed two deaths from the explosion, and the investigation is ongoing.

Later, KMDA reported another explosion in the Dniprovskyi district, where a man was injured after picking up an unidentified object wrapped in wire near garages.
