Drones attacked the Yug Rusi oil terminal in Rostov-on-Don overnight into Oct. 10, causing a large fire at the site, according to the Russian outlet Astra.

According to Astra, locals had earlier heard explosions.

Rostov Oblast Gov. Yuri Slyusar confirmed a drone attack on the region and a fire in Rostov-on-Don.

"Rostov came under an enemy air attack. A fire broke out. There are no casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene," he wrote.

According to Astra, the Yug Rusi oil terminal is used to transship petroleum products for export, supply fuel to the Russian army, and earn foreign currency. The facility's design capacity is about 2.5 million tons a year.

The terminal was attacked earlier, in July.

On Sept. 26, the General Staff reported that units of Ukraine's Defense Forces hit facilities of the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in the town of Azov in Russia's Rostov Oblast.

A fire was recorded on the grounds of the foundry shop, and equipment was damaged in five production buildings.
