A series of explosions were heard across the
occupied city of Mariupol,
Donetsk Oblast, on the evening of Dec. 20, Mariupol City Council reported via
Telegram.
According to an update posted at 9:55 p.m., the explosions occurred in various districts across the city.
“It’s loud in Mariupol; blasts were heard in several districts of the occupied city,” the council said.
“[Russian] Propagandists are suggesting air defense activity. One wonders, however...”
On Dec. 16, there were reports that Ukrainian partisans in Mariupol had blown up a vehicle with a Russian military officer inside.
Additionally, on Dec. 14, blasts were heard in the city, and Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor, reported strikes at two sites: near the Port City area and a local concrete factory.
