Fighter jets scrambled four times: Eight Russian UAVs enter Belarus, one headed for Lithuanian border

According to the monitoring channel, the first strike drone entered Belarus from Chernihiv Oblast near Loyew around 23:20 but returned to Ukraine 40 minutes later, heading toward the Kyiv Reservoir.

Starting at around 02:45, six more UAVs entered Belarus. Then, at 08:13, analysts reported that a Russian reconnaissance drone entered the country for the first time.

The Belarusian Hajun reports that most of the UAVs entered Homel Oblast, though one Shahed was spotted for the first time in Hrodna Oblast. It may have flown about 200 kilometers, reaching Navahrudak and coming within approximately 70 kilometers of the Lithuanian border. Analysts note that what happened to it afterward is unknown.

According to the channel, Belarus scrambled fighter jets four times from the Baranavichy airfield and twice deployed helicopters from Machulishchy. Aviation activity was spotted in both the south and the north, near Astravyets and Vileyka, where two drones likely flew.

On the night of Sept. 7, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 67 Shahed-131/136 drones. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that 58 drones were shot down, while six headed toward Russia, Belarus, and temporarily occupied Luhansk, and three were locally lost.

Explosions were heard in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts, as well as in the capital. In Kyiv, the Russian attack caused a fire in an open area in the Pecherskyi district. Drone debris was also found on thegrounds of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada. The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) stated that all drones threatening the city were destroyed.
