Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova said the threat of additional drone strikes remains, prompting the evacuation of residents whose homes are located in the affected area.
Earlier, acting Rostov Oblast Governor Yury Slyusar said a fire had broken out at the Port of Taganrog following the drone attack.
Local residents posted videos on social media showing a large fire that erupted after the strike.
After analyzing the footage, an OSINT analyst with the ASTRA project concluded that the fire occurred at the Kurgannefteprodukt oil depot. Russian authorities, however, have officially reported only a fire "on the territory of the seaport."
Overnight into May 30, reports emerged of explosions and fires in the area of the Port of Taganrog following another attack. Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces later said it had struck the military airfield in Taganrog overnight, destroying a Russian Iskander missile system and two Tupolev Tu-142 aircraft.
