The footage was published by monitoring Telegram channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+.
“The port in Tuapse continues to burn intensely,” the caption to one of the videos reads (warning: the footage contains explicit language).
According to unconfirmed reports, another storage tank exploded at the refinery.
“Before that, three tanks and an oil-loading pier were on fire,” Supernova+ said.
In a comment on photos showing a column of black smoke from the blaze, Exilenova+ ironically wrote: “Resort vibes — life has become more fun.”
Another video description says that “everything is just beginning in Tuapse,” as “the fire has likely spread to neighboring tanks.”
On the night of April 16, a drone strike set the Tuapse oil refinery on fire, with a large-scale blaze potentially engulfing at least three storage tanks, the Telegram channel ASTRA reported.
Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed the attack.
Ukraine’s General Staff has not commented on the strike.
The Tuapse oil refinery is part of Rosneft and is operated by RN-Tuapse Refinery LLC.
It is one of Russia’s largest refineries, specializing in primary oil processing.
