Russia targets civilian fire department in Kharkiv Oblast – photo

The Russian military attacked a fire rescue unit in Kharkiv Oblast overnight on April 1, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) reported on Telegram.

Nobody on duty was injured, though the building suffered serious damage.

The enemy struck a settlement bordering Russia, the SES said. One of the hits struck the fire department.

A third of the building was destroyed in the Russian shelling, while windows, doors, internal partitions, and the front gates were damaged.

Six rescuers were on duty at the time of the shelling.

Russia attacked civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district in the evening on March 31.

No one was injured in the attack, though civilian buildings and cars were damaged.
