The first reactor of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant (KhNPP) has
been reconnected to the national electrical grid, regional governor
Serhiy Hamaliy reported on Nov. 24.
"The energy system of Ukraine is now recovering from the enemy's attacks. Customers are being reconnected to power supply," Hamaliy said.
He added that 1,171 settlements in the oblast lost power supply due to the Russian mass missile attack of Nov. 23. About 469,000 clients were without power supply (almost 80%).
Almost the entire country went into blackout in the aftermath of the Russian missile attack, in particular three Ukrainian NPPs were disconnected from power grids, Zaporizhzhya NPP, which has been occupied by Russian troops, was also disconnected.
