The Jan. 17 Russian drone attack on Odesa has injured
five people, Odesa City Council reported via Telegram on Jan. 18.
According to the message, one of the victims sustained a shrapnel wound. Others were taken to a local hospital with post-traumatic stress syndrome. Another woman refused hospitalization.
Initial reports said three people were wounded in the attack.
Overnight on Jan. 16-17, Odesa bore the brunt of the Russian UAV attack. Eleven drones were downed in Odesa Oblast as they approached the coast, with most of them falling into the Black Sea. Ultimately, the strike damaged a residential high-rise in the city, prompting the evacuation of 130 residents.
