Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will visit Budapest next week, Hungarian FM Peter Szijjarto announced on Sept. 24, as reported by Hungarian news outlet Index.hu.
Szijjarto said the ministers plan to discuss Ukraine's law on national minorities.
“There is an unresolved dispute with the Ukrainian side, which in 2015 offended the Hungarian minority [in Ukraine] and severely curtailed its rights,” he stated.
The Hungarian minister acknowledged that the law has been amended since but described the changes as insufficient. He expressed hope that a solution could be found during the meeting with Sybiha.
