Johnson calls Russia’s invasion an act of terrorism and describes the war as a struggle between good and evil. The film opens with footage of a Russian drone attack on a civilian train that killed six people, and it shows Ukrainian troops' resilience, including scenes of soldiers manufacturing munitions because of equipment shortages.
The Telegraph reported that Johnson’s trip to the front was
kept strictly secret. He traveled incognito and at times hid his face with a
balaclava. Reporters said he was woken on his first night at the front by a
powerful explosion when a Russian drone struck a nearby residential building.
The Telegraph said Johnson’s participation could help the
documentary attract a wider international audience, including viewers who do
not normally watch war documentaries, and serve as a reminder of Ukraine’s
fight against Russian aggression.
