Russian forces strike Sumy Oblast, killing four including one-year-old

Russian forces launched a drone barrage on Romny in Sumy Oblast, killing four people, including a one-year-old child and her mother, regional governor Oleh Hryhorov reported on July 3.

Hryhorov stated that Russian forces carried out a drone attack on an apartment building, sparking a massive fire.

The attack killed a 76-year-old man, a one-year-old girl, and two women – aged 39 and 26. Hryhorov added that the Russian strike claimed the lives of the child and her mother.

The attack also wounded three men, local authorities noted.

Ukrainian Air Force reported a group of UAVs flying over Sumy Oblast past Lebedyn and Romny overnight on July 3, before moving over the city of Sumy.
