One Russian soldier was killed and four others were wounded in an FPV drone strike on a Russian military vehicle in the frontline city of Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast, the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Ukraine’s Airborne Forces reported on Jan. 29, posting a video of the successful strike on Telegram.
The five Russian soldiers had attempted to enter the town at high speed in poor weather conditions. Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance spotted the vehicle and relayed its location to the drone operators, who successfully targeted it.
The brigade said that this operation forms part of ongoing search-and-strike efforts in Myrnohrad, where Russian troops continue to engage in small-arms skirmishes and attempt to advance using light vehicles.
