The foreign minister stressed that Ukraine had managed to “handle this track correctly and pragmatically, with respect for each other’s positions.”
“Ukraine does indeed have cards. We welcome U.S. efforts to bring about a just and comprehensive peace,” Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said.
He also noted that Ukrainian and U.S. negotiating teams are in constant contact and that Kyiv is expecting a visit from U.S. representatives “to discuss how to move forward.”
On April 4, Bloomberg published an interview with Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s presidential office, in which he spoke about a possible visit to Kyiv by a U.S. delegation after April 12.
Budanov also said that, along with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham may also travel to Ukraine.
