According to the report, NACP detected numerous violations in the party’s financial, property, income, and liability reports for Q3 and Q4 of 2020. The audit established that the party reported inaccurate spending information totaling UAH 4,7 million. According to NACP, this is grounds for the suspension of state funding.
In a detailed report, the agency said that Holos signed service contracts with Mantis LLC worth UAH 1 million ($24,600). The services allegedly provided included consultations and clarifications on the practical aspects of applying Ukraine’s Electoral Code for party representatives, and legal consultations on the electoral process for members of precinct election commissions during 2020 local elections.
However, NACP’s investigation determined that the company did not actually provide these services, a fact corroborated by the State Bureau of Investigations.
Additionally, the party signed two contracts with individual entrepreneurs worth UAH 274,000 ($6,700), which were also found to contain inaccurate data.
In 2021, NACP previously halted state funding for the party, which Holos then described as “political pressure on the opposition.” Funding was also suspended in January 2021.
