The operation was conducted in collaboration with units of the State Border Guard Service and other components of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The source stated that the strike disrupted rail connections and halted train movements through the station, thereby interrupting the supply of ammunition and personnel to Russia’s invasion forces.
The Liski railway station is a critical node in the logistical network supporting Russian military groups in Ukraine’s occupied territories.
Russian media previously reported that drones attacked the Liski railway station in Voronezh Oblast overnight into Aug. 17, sparking a fire.
Voronezh Oblast Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed the drone attack, noting that “debris from a downed drone damaged a power line at the railway station, delaying several trains.”
The Telegram channel Exilenova+ also reported the attack, highlighting that the Liski station is one of the largest railway hubs in Russia’s Southeastern Railway network.
