According to our source, Russian occupation “authorities” have warned residents of the peninsula about temporary disruptions in internet access in the coming days.
The attacks targeted a number of major service providers in Crimea. The so-called Deputy Minister of Communications of the occupying administration, Yulia Kyryk, complained that "the profiles of the DDoS [distributed denial-of-service] attacks are constantly changing, and the providers' specialists are taking measures to counteract the attacks."
“It seems that Russian cyber specialists should turn to their concept of ‘import substitution,’ and erect a truly Russian firewall to isolate themselves from the free world,” the source added.
“Only then will they have a chance to protect themselves from our attacks.”
In recent months, HUR has intensified its cyber warfare campaign against Russia, targeting a series of Russian state bodies, including Defense, Finance, Information, Industry, and Energy ministries.
