Ilsky refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai halts operations after Ukrainian strike — Fire Point

According to the company, the attack hit three primary oil processing units, and the tank farm.

The refinery's operations are currently halted.

Earlier on Sept. 26, Ukraine's General Staff said Ukrainian Defense Forces had struck the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.

The Ilsky refinery is capable of processing about 6.6 million metric tons of oil a year. The plant receives, stores and processes crude oil, and also produces and ships petroleum products, some of which are used to meet the needs of Russian troops.

Russian refineries on fire

The refinery previously came under attack on Aug. 8. According to Astra, it was also attacked before that on July 10, June 2, Feb. 17 and Jan. 1, as well as in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

In addition, overnight into Sept. 26, the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in the town of Azov, Rostov Oblast, Russia, was struck.
