The Inter crew was working in the city when one of the bombs exploded near the entrance of an apartment building where the Podrobytsi news team lives, destroying civilian infrastructure. Correspondent Ihor Levenok suffered shrapnel wounds to his left arm.
The attack occurred around 5 a.m., killing a 77-year-old woman, wounding three civilians and a journalist, and damaging 11 multi-story buildings and several vehicles, according to the National Police.
The State Emergency Service reported fires broke out in apartments on the third floor of a nine-story building and in vehicles in the courtyard.
"Emergency services extinguished fires covering an area of 250 square meters and helped residents escape from the trap by opening entrance doors that had been deformed by the explosion," the agency said.
