Iran launched around a dozen ballistic missiles at U.S. military
bases in Qatar on June 23, in response to the United States bombing
Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
According to Axios, 10 missiles targeted U.S. bases near Doha, Qatar. CNN reported that the nearby Al Udeid Air Base was targeted.
Reuters reported that explosions were heard over Doha.
CNN also reported an Iranian strike on Iraq. Two officials familiar with the matter told the network that the United States is tracking missiles fired from Iran toward U.S. bases in both Qatar and Iraq.
Preliminary reports suggest that the relatively modest salvo failed to reach its intended targets, with U.S. air defenses intercepting all incoming Iranian missiles.
