Russian ballistic missiles and drones rip through Kharkiv

At least five people were injured in an overnight Russian drone and missile attack on the Ukrainian northeastern city of Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram early on April 3.

Four ballistic missiles hit the city’s Kyivskyi district, damaging high-rise apartment buildings, shattering windows, and rupturing a gas pipeline. A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized, and an 18-year-old experienced an acute stress reaction.

An office building was also damaged in the Osnovyanskyi district. A security guard was injured.

One of the drones fell in downtown Shevchenko Park.

Emergency efforts to mitigate the consequences of the attack are ongoing. Local authorities are assessing the damage and verifying the number of injuries.
